Alhamdulillah, my wife and I made a right decision to go for Hajj 2012 with CHU. Everyone in CHU staff (Brothers: Zamir, Aiyub Amdawad wala, Maajid, Imran and Irfan Vora, and others) were dedicated to serve and they worked hard to accommodate the needs of all the CHU Hujjaj. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were served on time as scheduled at all the places including Meena, Arafat, and Mujdalifa along with hot tea available almost all the time. CHU leadership has done a fantastic job in Hajj planning and management to provide the CHU Hujjaj an ultimate experience of the Hajj. Mufti Haroon and Maulana Lakhi and CHU staff was very helpful guiding us thru all the Hajj arkaans. May Allah prosper CHU in becoming one of the best Hajj and Umrah service providers in North America (Aameen).

We would like to thank Brother Mufti Haroon for his efforts to explain very clearly all off the Arkan of the Hajj. We found him to be very patient and he was always available to clear any doubts. As far as suggestions, It would be better if the shuttle could drop and pick from the haram. As it was a bit difficult for the elderly to walk back and forth.. We are thankful to Allah(swt) that we were able to complete our Hajj. A special Jazakallah Kahir to Brother Zamir for all the efforts. I am thankful to Allah that Allah guided me to perform my Hajj using CHU and the best comment I can provide is that InshAllah I will be happy to perform my next Hajj with CHU again.
Things I really appreciated
With CHU, I know that I am dealing with sincere people, who tried their best to make sure my hajj goes as well as possible.
Starting from US even before the Hajj, the CHU kept me informed on the official paperwork processing, airline reservation, things I would need during Hajj, Hajj presentations and many other things. Every e-mail was important and informative.
CHU provided a hajj kit which you can carry around your neck which included very practical items like prayer rug, Quran and few other essential items, which I carried with me every where. This small bag has enough space if you want to carry a cell phone, some money etc. Very practical.
CHU made extra efforts upon my request to arrange for me Qatar Airlines where I didn't have to worry about halal food and prayers during flight, plus the Qatar Airlines itself provides a very nice, clean, punctual and polite service with a free hotel arrangement if your layover in Doha is over 12 hours.
Medina first is the best route to start the hajj, we thought it will take 3-4 hours at the airport to get through immigration & customs but to our surprise we were out within 30 minutes.
Hotel in Medina was about 5 minutes walk from the Masjid-e-Nabawi.
Darul-Taqwa in Mecca might not be 5 star hotel but it was a very nice and clean facility with plenty of rooms and variety of foods. You really appreciate it after a 6 hours drive from Medina. Best of all was polite and helpful staff waiting for us who carried our luggage and got us situated in our clean air-conditioned rooms and served us a very nice buffet.
Travel packed Zam Zam water was ready for us in our rooms to bring it back home to US. This is big deal because I did not have to worry about any of these items and was freed to rather concerntrate on my ibadah.
Shuttle service to and from Harem was available and dependable. Again, multiple staff members were present in Harem holding CHU flags to take us back to CHU buses after finishing our Umrah and Ibadah.

Foods, Fruits and Drinks conveniently available in Mina.
CHU staff guided us to Jamarat carrying CHU flags so we don't get lost.
Mufti Haroon was available through out the day for any questions and gave a talk at least once a day in Mina.
The animal sacrifice arrangement was great, after the 1st Jamarat, CHU staff was right their w/us who took our hajji number called the slaughter house where the CHU staff was already waiting, by the time we got back to the Darul Taqwa, sacrifice was complete and we actually got our heads shaved at the barber close to our hotel with much cleaner facility and no lines.
CHU used some of the same sacrifice meat from that day and served a great Bar B Q. And if you like to try camel just ask for it and they will cook it for you.
Pre-Allocated tents and space for CHU Group in Arafat and Muzdalfah.
In Silver package after Hajj the CHU had arranged hotel right across Kabbah, you actually exit the hotel in front of Gate 1/Bab-Abdul Aziz of Kabah. The hotel is very nice and break buffet is huge.
I really appreciated all the hard work the staff of CHU puts in from US to Saudia, they really work hard to earn your Dua for them. Some of these staff members in Saudia were literally working round the clock may be with couple hours of sleep. Days were hot and sometimes long but I truly believe the CHU staff kept my hajj as their priority.

My wife and I all had high expectations for CHU as we had heard many good things prior to booking our arrangements. I am happy to say that our experience was really awesome, Alhamdulillah, and we would definitely use them for Hajj/Umrah again and again, and Insha’Allah and same time I would recommend my friends as well as my family members without any doubts to go with CHU for Hajj and Umrah. We were looking for a group that made the tenets of Hajj/Umrah the top priority and CHU did so without fail. CHU was fortunate to have Mufti Haroon (in English) and Maulana Lakhi ( in Urdu) leading the group and they did an exceptional job in guiding us and making sure we knew and performed all the obligations and duties of Umrah and Hajj. CHU is not a materialistic group- the focus is on performing Umrah and Hajj without missing any arkan and we felt that they did an awesome job.
Upon arrival, CHU representatives met us at the airport and made our travel arrangements to the hotel. Transportation to and from the airport as well as from Medina to Mecca was very smooth and efficient and they provided all drink while we are travelling. The description and pictures of the hotel rooms on the website are accurate and the accommodations were more than adequate. The food was good and the timings of the buffet were very accommodating. The hotel in Medina was very close to the masjid (~5 minute walk). However, be prepared to take the CHU-provided transportation in Mecca as the hotel is not close to the Kabah. We were patient and flexible and we did not find this to be an issue because other group stays in Azizya which quite far and they don’t provide any transportation to and from Haram. The good thing about CHU is “They had 24/7 transportation from hotel to Haram and back to hotel all time”. It is still possible to spend numerous hours at the Kabah, but do not expect to be able to go quickly back-and-forth to/from the hotel. The Mina arrangements were also more than adequate and we did not have any issues with space, food, etc. while we were there.
The CHU staff was very accessible during the whole trip and was eager to answer any and all logistical questions. Mufti Haroon also did a wonderful job in answering all questions pertaining to Umrah and Hajj. We were very pleased with our experience and if we are given another opportunity to perform Hajj, we will go with CHU, Insha’Allah.
The laundry is very expensive in Makkah but CHU did contract with one of the laundryman with very reasonable price so you don’t have to go out and look for laundry shop. It was really helpful for all Hajis because you don’t have to spend that much time and you can get your clothes at hotel very next day.
To Zamir/Imran, you have been a great leader and Allah will reward you for your dedication and professionalism. Jazakum Allahukhiran to all of you at the Chicago Hajj group.

The last few weeks myself and other hujjaj have been reminiscing about our trip and doing comparisons to get an idea of how each one of us fared as far as organization, accommodation, transport, meals, cost, etc. of our respective groups. I am pleased to say that we had it really good as far as cost, coordination, meals and transport. We took many things for granted that other groups had to struggle for, the biggest of which was having a big crew on the ground that took care of all the Hujjaj's needs. We actually saw it ourselves in Mina, Muzdalifa and Arafah when Hajis from other groups would seek food and water from CHU as their own groups were lacking in service. Having Mufti Haroon to advise and guide us throughout the whole trip was another blessing.

As I was saying it was a great pleasure to be with the Chicago Hajj group and sure I have complaints but if the hajj was as easy as staying at a hotel in America then walking a couple of km a week then maybe Allah wouldn't accept since it became a vacation and not a fard on us to fulfill the fifth pillar. May Allah reward you for all you did.

We had a great experience and I am thankful to the CHU group for their services. Out of millions of muslims who not only have time, money and health, Allah (swt) chose us among the Hujjaj of 2009. I applaud the members of CHU, for continuing their efforts to provide a great and memorable Hajj experiences to thousands year round, inspite of negative comments from handful. Hajj is not a picnic or vacation . Once we accept that fact, then every difficulty becomes easy and we end up having a memorable experience. We were so fortunate to be standing on the land where the prohpet (pbuh) and the sahabs walked, then how can someone have time to think about how many stars the hotel has, or how delicious the food was, or any other material things? Dear Hujjaj, do you remember how many janaza namaz we offered in the few days we got to stay in makkah and madina? Unfortunately, its only the material things that matter to us. After coming back from Hajj, I was asked about the hotel stay, the food, how much money I spend, only few asked me how I felt when I saw Kabah for the first time, only few asked if I got to offer my salam to the prophet (pbuh) and offer namaaz in rawda-al-jannah. May Allah (swt) accept our hajj and give us another opportunity to visit the holy land, Ameen. Jazakallah to Br.Zamir, Br. Yousuf, Br. Mufti Haroon, Br. Ayub, Br. Suleman and everyone else associated with CHU. I recommend everyone to use CHU for their Hajj and Umrah tours. For the elders in our community, before you choose any pacakge, please keep in mind about the distance you are able to walk comfortably. CHU members, please maintain the same competitive prices. You definitely have an edge on the competitors.

(1) Hotel location in Makkah (Royal Orchid) & Madinah (Mawaddah al Marwah) was very good.

Dear Mr. Zamir, My wife and I were invited by Allah to visit his house and house of his Beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). We joined your group to go to Saudi Arabia. We first visited Medinah and stayed close to Masjid-e-Nabawi. Later on we went to Mecca and preformed Hajj. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. From the Spiritual guidance from Mufti Haroon to catering by Mr. Aqil, travel from Medinah to Mecca and other places as well as your house staff at mecca, everybody was very helpful.
